20TH ANNIVERSARY OF OF FIRST TUESDAYS AT THE CAPITOL
On Tuesday, March 7, 2023 TCMS Alliance Past President, Susan Todd was honored on the 20th anniversary of First Tuesday's at the Capitol. In 2003, when Susan served as the President of the TMAA, she envisioned one day each month during the legislative session where physicians, their spouses and physicians in training would come together to learn more about advocacy for medical legislation and then speak directly to the legislators and their staff about best practices for the practice of medicine in Texas and for the health of all Texans. Susan, who also served as the President of the AMAA is a retired nurse, a beloved grandmother, active in local service organizations, and accomplished artist. On March 7th, an original painting depicting First Tuesdays at the Capitol with Doctors in their white coats arriving at the capitol was hung in the Texas Medical Society building in Austin. the influence of Susan Todd and her vision for healthcare advocacy in Texas cannot be overstated. join us in celebrating Susan Todd and all who attend First Tuesdays because of her visionary leadership.
